Dr. Breus
The Dr. Breus brand was SocialNorth’s inaugural client and continues to be represented online by us. Julia works closely with Dr. Breus and his team to strategize a Facebook presence and two Twitter channels (@TheSleepDoctor & @SleepDrTeam). To help grow Dr. Breus’ influence as the leading sleep expert online, we’ve engaged in Twitter chats that resulted in more than 4 million impressions in less than an hour. Dr. Breus works closely with Dr. Oz, ShareCare and Arianna Huffington (who wrote the forward to his book).
WIBN
Julia began working with WIBN in January of 2012, taking on strategic direction and execution of the WIBN social media channels as well as the editorial voice on the site, writing the editorial calendar, working closely with bloggers and providing blog content herself. As well, Julia played a integral role in the planning for the S.M.a.R.T. conference, from generating the creative theme to writing all the messaging. She personally sifted through more than 100 speaker applications and then worked closely with the speakers chosen as well as emceeing the two-day event. Throughout her time with the WIBN, Julia created processes to help the WIBN team continue to grow.
3Dream Design
In January 2013, SocialNorth hit the ground running with Dana taking on the community management role of 3Dream on Twitter and Facebook. Dana dove deep into the interior design community, sharing a wide variety of content useful for designers and DIY’rs alike. As well, Dana was featured on RetailerNow Magazine in recognition of the work she’s done in the furniture industry.
International Market Centers
The Las Vegas World Market Center and High Point Market have invited Julia to speak to patrons of their bi-annual markets numerous times. As a leading authority in SEO-based social media in the furniture industry, Julia’s presentations are standing room only events with conversations spilling over into tweet-ups throughout market.
Dove Canada
Julia appeared in Dove Canada’s Singing in the Rain video along with 13 influential bloggers in Canada. Her teaser video had more than 2,000 hits before the official release. Julia has written 2 blog posts for SocialNorth on the effectiveness of Dove’s marketing strategy (the comments are enlightening): Singing in the Rain with Bloggers and Real Beauty, Real Smart.
RFL
RunforLife is a non-profit, Canadian-based group dedicated support running programs in Canadian schools & work with teachers, runners & Olympic athletes who run for a healthy life. Julia was challenged with fine-tuning their running message and training the social media team in best practices. Within a week of starting, Julia mapped out a plan to integrate an annual event with a fundraiser for a local family in need, which dramatically increased community members and visibility with influencers.
Eyelight
A Waterloo-based marketing firm, Eyelight offers a robust menu to its stable of clients, which include Pillers, the Perimeter Institute and Roberts Onsite, to name a few. Eyelight engaged SocialNorth to train staff how to blog and to equip them with best blogging practices. As well, we worked with staff and management to construct a mutually acceptable social media policy and launch the company on Facebook and Twitter. Eyelight became a Big Klout sponsor of the 140 Ontario Conference, where Julia is presiding as the master of ceremonies.
WaterlooMIN
The Manufacturing Innovation Network connects more than 1,000 manufacturers in Waterloo Region in an effort to drive innovation and reduce supply chain costs. SocialNorth strategized a facelift for the MIN’s website as well as building and maintaining social networks on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
